Who are you guys?

We are Becki and Vickie.  We are two friends and moms of young children.  Our husbands each have time-demanding jobs in different fields, leaving us with plenty of time to be home with the kids and be creative in our down time.  We started making these special pillows as baby gifts for our friends.  With our husbands’ nudging and support of friends, we are now offering them to you.
How do I care for my new Pillow Portrait?
It is recommended that our pillows be "spot" cleaned only. It is recommended that you protect the fabric by using a commercial stain resistant spray. To prevent fading, avoid direct sunlight. 
What photo requirements do you have?

Please send us a high resolution photo with your order. 

Landscaped photos will look nicer on your pillow.

It should be a 3 megapixal or higher quality, with a minimum file size of 400KB.   Your photo subject should be in focus.  We will convert your photo to a sepia print.

Please let us know with your order if you have any special instructions regarding your photo.  Please review your order and any personalization (names, dates, text, etc.) before submitting your order.

 

The photo you submit must be your own.  Pillow Portraits will not be held liable for any copyright violations.  You, as the customer, take the FULL responsibility for this.

 

We reserve the right to refuse your photo should it be deemed inappropriate to us.

 

We reserve the right to take photos of our finished product that may have your photograph on it for advertising purposes.  If you do not consent to this, notify us with your order.
How can I tell what size and resolution my photo is?
Open Windows Explorer.  Open the file folder that has your photo.  Point (do not click) with the mouse over the file name of your photo.  A popup winder will appear with the dimensions, type and size.   Ideally your photo is a minimum of 1536 x 2048.

Your photo cannot be compressed.  To find your image size, right click the file name.  Under the general tab is where the File Size is.   Your number should read over 400 bytes.

Can I change my order?

Your order can be cancelled only if work has not been started on it.  A $10 processing fee will be deducted against your refund. 

When can I expect my order?

Your order will take appropriately two week to complete.  We ship within the continental United States using the United States Postal Service’s Priority Mail service.
Can I rush my order?
Yes!  A $10 fee will be applied.  Special shipping can also be arranged.  Please contact us.
How much is shipping?
Shipping for our pillows is a flat rate of $10.  Pillow Peeps are $3.00.
